Six Senses Laamu

The Six Senses brand is well known for pioneering sustainability practices all over the world. It's in the DNA of all their resorts and Six Senses Laamu is no exception. As the only resort in the Laamu Atoll, they feel a certain responsibility to protect the land and marine life while partnering with the local community. Wendy worked with the property to highlight their sustainability initiatives and unique offerings through stills and images used mainly on their social channels.

In addition to posting on @nomadicfare, she also did a Stories takeover on Travel+Leisure’s Instagram account showcasing the hotel’s sustainability efforts.

Wendy is hard working, passionate and curious, making her a delight to work with. The content she created for us not only impressed for its creative flare, but also captured our specific brand and story perfectly. We chose to work with Wendy as she appeared to have strong connections in the industry, as well as great content creation skills. Wendy surpassed our expectations when she delivered beyond what was expected by telling our stories, through beautifully curated content, on many different channels and accounts.

A unique aspect of the Six Senses brand is to educate and include guests in their initiatives. During their Heart of House tour led by their sustainability manager, you can learn about their water desalination plant, visit their chicken coop and tour the organic garden where they grow their own greens.

When you arrive at Six Senses Laamu, you'll notice all the buildings and environment look very natural. That's because they are! They use sustainably-sourced materials like teak and bamboo. Additionally, they obtain as much from local islands as possible to cut down on transport emissions.

Six Senses strive to be as self sufficient as possible. The are only one of three hotels in the world that make their own small batch, artisanal chocolate used in all their dishes.
